Venue Spotlight: Backyard Social
Backyard Social in Fort Myers is one of Southwest Florida's top live music venues. See upcoming shows and what makes it a local staple.
The patio doors swing open at Backyard Social and you step into something that feels more like a friend's sprawling backyard than a typical Fort Myers bar. String lights hang overhead. The stage sits at one end, close enough to feel the bass drum in your chest. Tables scatter across the space with no rigid formation. This is where live music happens seven nights a week.
The Space & The Hang
Backyard Social built its reputation on being exactly what it sounds like. The space stays loose. The crowd mixes regulars with newcomers. Food comes from the kitchen. Drinks flow steady. But the real draw is the stage that never stays quiet for long.
The room fills up when bands start. DJs take over late Saturday nights, keeping the patio moving past ten. Sunday afternoons bring acoustic sets at four. Wednesday through Friday, the calendar stays packed with everything from solo artists to full bands. The rotation runs deep.
The March Lineup
Ry Rivers kicks things off March 12 as a duo at six. Moonstone Riders brings the full band March 13. The Rowdy Bards takes Saturday March 14, with Dj Hitman spinning at ten. Sunday features Eddie Z - The One Man Singing Drummer Band at four.
Mid-month brings The Yabo Brothers March 17 and Austin James March 18. Nostaljah plays as a trio March 19. Giaco PopRock and Bailanow close out the weekend March 20-21, with DJ Tanke spinning Saturday night.
The month wraps with LANCO on March 29. Tickets required for that one.
The Regular Rotation
The stage at Backyard Social sees familiar faces and fresh blood. Recent months brought everything from Gray's solo acoustic sets to Stereo Riot's full band rock. Bailanow and DJ Tanke hold down Saturday night residencies. Deb & The Dynamics and Moonstone Riders return regularly. ICONIC THE BAND and Nostaljah keep the calendar busy.
The roster runs from Johnny Rogers to E3 to Red Hannah. The room stays ready for whatever comes through the door.
Some venues book music as an afterthought. Backyard Social built the whole operation around the stage. Seven nights a week, the patio proves that live music and good times go hand in hand. Check the full calendar and upcoming shows at Backyard Social.
