What a delightful place to meet friends for a drink, catch the sunset, watch a game, or simply relax on the tables located on the beach. This is my go to place in Cape Coral. Nothing fancy, but good food and drink at fair prices in a great atmosphere. If you can get a table on the beach...excellent. Get a seat at "the rail" for which you should not have to wait, and enjoy the views of the shimmering water. Did I mention the sunsets? To the west of the Boathouse is a beach for relaxation. I think this is a Cape Coral treasure and definitely worth a visit if you are a snowbird or tourist. Even more so for the "locals."
Very busy with a 30 minute wait for lunch on a weekday. Food was great. I had the Cuban sandwich and my wife crab cakes. Both entries were excellent and the portions were good. Our server Kendra was very attentive despite all the other tables she was serving. The deserts looked good but I was way too full to have one. The view of the water and beach was relaxing. They had live music that was very enjoyable.
We come here often, for breakfast and then go to beach. Love the routine. The restaurant has great food, friendly staff and great prices. The only thing they need is a deep clean and refinish. A night crew power washing the deck and outside counter seats. Painting the outside of the tables and the high top chairs. Then it would be perfect. Since birds are all over the tables, a quick sanitation and wipe would make customers happy. I have heard the same sentiment from other customers. Otherwise, love it.
I loved the overall experience of a great restaurant, fishing pier, beach and what looked like boat tours/rides. I highly recommend the cucumber salad. It's a side dish, but I truly enjoyed it. Not a fan of the crab cakes which were a bit bland and loaded with crab shell fragments. The turkey club was fantastic, wings seemed under cooked, the shrimp was good. Good, friendly service. Can't beat the atmosphere.
New Review: Pretty well the same story, and Evelyn is an awesome bartender. Great conversations with the folks around you, assuming you are there to relax and indulge. Old Review: I've been here a few times over the years and I have to say I have just a blast every time I go here. It gets a bit crowded but to me that's what makes it fun. We engaged in conversation with many others, love the food, love the views, and thought the staff was just awesome. Will be coming back year after year.
