Definitely don’t recommend this bar if you aren’t white, wearing boots or match their patrons. The concept of the bar is cool. I’ll give them that as the line dancing is cool to watch but don’t step on their floor if you can’t line dance! The security is important at a bar of this caliber however OWNER (lady in pink shirt on 4/29 with ear piece) read your reviews. As they’ve been pretty consistent lately on the way people are treated. You and your bouncers are taking it way too far with discriminating against people and it will not go unknown!! Once the police and owner viewed video they determined that battery charges on my husband and I weren’t necessary as we were the battered in the situation. I will definitely be reaching out to local news stations/newspapers in the area.
We had a party of 10+ people when the last 4 of our party arrived security singled out the nicest person in the group and wanted 2 forms of ID after letting his twin brother in. He's 24 and it was a valid FL driver's license. They were rude to his mom when she asked what was going on. I've never experienced anything like it. Needless to say, we all left and won't be back.
Only 5 minutes of party music the entire night!? And then right back to endless line dancing. If you like endless line dancing for 8 hours straight except for just 5 minutes of party music, and I mean literally and seriously, 5 minutes of party music and then promptly back to line dancing with the DJ counting at the start of every song, then Dixie is the place to be. Otherwise, it's a good place to visit or meet up with someone and watch the line dancing (which tends to get boring after about 1 to 3 hours), have a drink or two, but not much else. They seriously need a lot more party music and party time. Just 5 minutes is not enough party and freestyle dancing for us, it's supposed to be from 11 pm to 3 like it was before. Security here makes you feel like you're in Detroit. They unfortunately no longer have food anymore as they lost their kitchen with the sale of the Rockade, plus food trucks now are illegal in Cape Coral.
I hate to write bad stuff , but that security inside the club and all organization of service pushed me to speak up .Dixie is the worst club ever , they let us inside ( one of my friends forgot their ID but we were allowed in anyway and for that we are grateful). There was no food inside as the food wagon was outside thus we had to go outside to buy food). At the entrance everyone gets a hand stamp from the security. As we were coming back the security changed their mind and decided not to let us in. We bought expensive drinks , my friend had jacket inside , and also we are not young people, we are all in our fifties. I was upset , the whole line of people waiting watched us being harassed. I told the security that I would have to give the club negative review and after that we were threatened not to ever be allowed in ID or not. We made a point of going back all the way home to get ID,. Once we came back , the security refused to let in .There are not enough clubs in our area , and they take advantage of it! Smoking is allowed inside, the attitude is horrible and they do not care about people , they over power their authority. . I see dangerous situations, inside many people and smoking … and people drinking without food, because if you step outside maybe could not get inside, people dancing with glass …no safety there.. Never again .And also we are have party with 7 people , we did not see each other long time .🥲🥲🥲
