I was visiting with a friend and she brought me here. We were there middle of the afternoon and it was not busy. We sat outside, in the shade, which was a plus since it was hot. I had the BLT and it was very good. Our waitress was great at checking to make sure everything was tasting good, but she never asked if we wanted our drinks refilled.
Pretty disappointed with this place. Went to order some to-go food after work, and sat at the bar for a drink while I waited. I just moved to FL and found this place, and enjoyed the atmosphere. Foods not the best, but I'm not too picky, so I've gone back on 5 seperate occasions now. Honestly it was mostly out of convince because it was just close to my job. My issue is my 27th birthday was a few days ago and it turned out my license expired that same day. I guess it's the law you can't accept an expired ID, which I wasn't aware of. I figured that as long as the picture was clearly of you and the description matched, it would still be acceptable. But the law is the law so I can understand refusing to serve alcohol I guess. But when the bartender checked my id and told me that, I guess I was really surprised considering I'd been in there twice after my id had expired and I was served no problem. She then after handing my id back she just walked away without saying anything, which was super annoying because she didn't ask if I had any other form of id, which I happen to have. I guess she only cared about people she knew she could server. So I just got up and left. My review is mostly based off the fact that the experience felt super rude, and the inconsistencies in the service I had. Had they said something the two times I was there prior, I'd understand, but they didn't. So my assumption is the bartender was just rude. Or I guess they illegally served me alcohol on the two occasions prior. I don't know, but I honestly don't care. The way that bartender handled it wasn't cool to me, and definitely ruined my feeling of the place. Either way I reached out to the state liquor board to find out what the law is. If they illegally are serving me, I'm sure they do it to others. Like the very first few times I went they didn't even ask for my id. So if it was against the law, I'm definitely reporting them because they shouldn't be allowed a liquor license. And I'm definitely not going back after the bartender from tonight was rude and walked away like I wasn't important at all. I mean I still asked for a food menu, so its not like I wasn't going to spend money there. And again had she taken the time to ask or simply just wait a second I could have pulled out my state id card and shown her that. She also could have offered a non-alcoholic drink but she didn't want to do that either
If you're looking for excellent food and friendly staff, visit Ed's Tavern! Perfect spot for sports games although if you want a table, I'd suggest arriving early - they get busy! Between the weekly trivia game nights and the weekend entertainment, this place is awesome. Try the buffalo chicken poppers!
I absolutely love that they offer a veggie burger!!! The Works Burger with an impossible patty was aaammmaaazzzing! Will definitely be back!
Great food and service. Reasonable prices. What more can you ask for?
