We travel to vacation in Longboat Key every year, and not one has passed in the last decade where we did not end up having dessert night at Euphemia Haye. This year, we also had dinner downstairs in the dining room. The menu is varied and each of our dishes was fantastic. From steak to seafood to poultry, all six of our dinners were fantastic. The desserts are unsurpassed - photos show a sampling. Roughly a dozen different options prepared fresh everyday. Truly a treat, complimented by the freshly pressed coffee.
Of the three restaurants I ate dinner at here on Longboat Key, this was my favorite. It almost feels like you are in a house that has been converted to a restaurant. It has an older wood paneling atmosphere that suits the menu. There was a lovely view from our window of tropical plants illuminated by white Christmas lights. The steak that I got was about the best steak I have ever had. I would go back just for another steak. I want to say it was $55, but I have to say it was worth it. The mashed potatoes were promised the sensation of horseradish, but it was a bit weak for my tastes. No matter! They cook up some of the food in front of some of the customers (depending on where you are sitting) which is really cool. Upstairs, they also have a desert area which you are billed separately for. They had a wonderful selection of pies to choose from. So yes, I would come here again.
excellent meal! Get the pepper steak.
Love the atmosphere & the food is delicious!
Great food. Great customer service. My only complaint is that there was no creme brulee in the dessert room. Other than that, great restaurant and a great time!
