One table outside had people and no one inside. It was starting to sprinkle so went inside to get a table. There was a very bad smell inside and it was being covered up with a burning candle at the door plus someone was spraying bleach cleaning and it was sitting on the bar with dirty rags. There was only a fan running (no AC on a 92 degree day). Flies were all over our table. Tried some beer samples and all but one was warm. Asked waitress for some menus. She left to attend to the outside people and came back to tell us that the fryer in the kitchen was down and would be at least 45 minutes to be up to temp. Went to the restroom to wash hands and it was so filthy in there. We decided it was not a good idea to stay so paid for our beers and got out of dodge. Waitress and bartender were nice and that was about it.
Great service and delicious brunch! Best bottomless mimosa/Bloody Mary deal in town!
This used to be the wonderful United Ale House so we were disappointed immediately. We did not know it had changed hands. But aside from THAT, the place had an odor upon walking in and it appeared to be dirty. Beer cases were displayed in the window and metal cannisters were lined along the back wall for all to see. Walls were peeling paint it just felt depressing. We stayed for 2 drinks, that's it. This place needs a SERIOUS overall! Yuck.
First Street Restaurant is an excellent place to sit back relax, and enjoy breakast, lunch, or dinner in a modern contemporary setting in local downtown Fort Myers. One of the signature dishes if the Fish & Chips of which is perfectly battered and crispy with a delicate texture served with coleslaw. I highly recommend dining in and tasting for yourself.
Sat at bar. Server was awesome. Made a killer Bloody Mary. Quiche was cold in middle and burnt on top. Potatoes were over seasoned and inedible. Husband’s breakfast was served on a plate so small everything ended up on the bar when he tried to cut his food.
