Fogartyville sets the stage for magical experiences with music and sounds. They are called a ‘ listening room’ which describes their goal of providing outstanding musical experiences. The new set up gives all seats great views and proximity to the performers. The sound engineer worked diligently with the musicians to create an incredible evening. One side of the venue has 2 large garage doors which open up to an outdoor courtyard which has more tables. Enchanting strands of lights twinkle at the end of the courtyard. Fogartyville serves beverages and snacks, including alcohol. I don’t drink, so I don’t know the menu for those beverages, but our sparkling water was top shelf! Covid safety precautions were in place and not intrusive. We wore masks when moving around which could be taken off when seated at our tables. Tables had been carefully spaced with ample distance between. High ceilings and open air provided by the large open doors to the courtyard gave ample ventilation. Unlike many music venues, bathrooms were consistently immaculate. Many of the servers are volunteers who support the Fogartyville mission and enjoy the live music. They were delightful This was my first indoor music experience since the pandemic began. It was a breathtaking evening and I plan to return often! This is an amazing place to deeply experience a wide variety of music. It is an intimate setting that pays careful attention to the acoustics. They used their covid shut down time to re think the setting and make it even better. WONDERFUL
This place is awesome - a great listening room, full of great people! Also, some of the best live music anywhere in Sarasota! World, Folk, Bluegrass, Jazz, Rock, movies, art and Peace activism. Go to a show!
Love supporting my local community especially this venue features local artist to perform live music Had a great time and looking forward to coming back for more live performances
Fogartyville is a spirited, lively place run by very good people who find a tremendous variety of worthwhile music, current events speakers, films, and more to generate the kind of community that many towns and cities used to have but are now not so prevalent.
What a fun, funky. intimate, venue. Saw Joe Crookston, one of our favorite folk singers, last night. GREAT show! The acoustics are amazingly good, the coffee and wine a nice accompaniment. We didn't know about the food truck, but considering the number of people who clearly seemed to be enjoying their meal, we clearly missed a good thing! Drove > than 2 hours to get there but will do it again!
