Hertz Arena is definitely not my favorite venue for a concert. The parking fee is outrageous ($25.00) and the single file line to even pay that fee is utterly ridiculous. From the entrance on Treeline to actually park, took over 45 minutes and we got to Hertz @ 6:55 for an 8:00 concert. We weren't even seated until 7:52. Fortunately, the concert didn't get started until 8:15. So we had a moment to regroup and take in the sights. The acoustics are also not great but since it is a small arena, the sight lines are good and provides a degree of intimacy. The staff was warm & helpful though and the concert itself (Santana) was amazing and we really enjoyed the performance. Crowd control was well maintained and everyone was pretty much well behaved. All in all, not a bad concert venue, but there is room for improvement and the single file line to pay your parking fee is insane.
Attended the Santana concert, who was excellent, the entrance and parking was a complete failure. No local police to provide smooth traffic flow - basically everyone trying to force themselves through the lines of vehicles. 1 mile took over an hour to get through the SINGLE parking attendant. We missed the first 30 minutes of the show. This venue might be good for smaller crowds, but when a headliner entertainer is playing, you may want to be there hours before the start of the show.
If you go to a concert at Hertz Arena be prepared for a huge delay just getting into the parking lot. They have absolutely no management of the situation. It's the wild west, every man for himself.
Santana concert was great. The event parking rate was a little stiff at $25.00 cash, especially after having to wait 50 minutes in a slow or no moving disorganized double line of cars, to find only ONE person collecting parking fees. No ones else around to help direct/organize the traffic mess. Poor planning. Luckily concert started at least a half hour late so everyone still sitting out on Ben Hill Griffin had a chance to get into the parking lot and into the event. Score a big zero to who ever scheduled only one person to collect parking fees.
Masks encouraged, somewhat socially distanced, clean environment, reasonably priced food & drinks. My one complaint there bag policy is ridiculous. They have enough security to properly check a handbag but they seem lazy and make people return to there vehicles with them, makes you not want to spend money inside especially if you don't have a purse to put anything in.
