The orchestra at Holley Hall was great. I took in a Holiday music concert. The conductor was fun and they took COVID precautions seriously. Everyone had to wear a mask and show proof of vaccinations with picture ID. That said, many people we’re carrying in their own cushions and I soon found out why. The chairs were horribly uncomfortable and stacked right next to each other making it uncomfortably close to your neighbors. I couldn’t help but fidget through the concert.
But again the music was superb.

We had a great time. Easy parking, everyone gets a good seat, plenty of ushers guiding the way to your seats and the orchestra was terrific. I was lucky enough to see Michael Cavanaugh sing Billy Joel and Elton John hits. He is extremely talented and entertaining.

I was invited along with my wife to see this symphony for the first time . One of the highlights of my life was hearing the beautiful sounds from that symphony. I got to meet Jonathan Gentry and his dad at the show; and I’m now a big oboe fan!!!! Bravo to the Sarasota Symphony!!

My son is in the Sarasota Youth Orchestra. We are grateful for this opportunity he has had to play challenging music with other strong young musicians. If you are looking for a youth arts program to support, this is a great one.

NO mention of needing a negative covid test / vaccine card proof ANYWHERE on website or at checkout, etc before the show. We even called to confirm the seating and there was no mention of the requirements on the phone either. No preparation before the show. Poor organization from this company.
