My wife and I went to this restaurant yesterday for the first time. The best part of our visit was the wonderful live music. Unfortunately, that is where the good ends. The restaurant was not overly busy and we were seated right away. However, after 10-15 minutes we had yet to have a server come to our table. We were contemplating just leaving when the hostess saw us and asked if we had been helped yet. After telling her no she said she would go find our server. A couple minutes later he finally came over. We each ordered a hamburger and asked for them to be well-done. My wife's came out very pink inside, and neither of ours had any real flavor to them. The server never came back to our table during our entire time there except at the end to give us our check. On that end there was no real check as he only had a handheld device that had our order on it. So we could not even look over our check at our leisure while we finished our drinks because he hovered over us wanting payment right then. Finally, after finishing our drinks we stood up to leave and before we could even get out from our chairs someone was on top of us clearing the table. Very intrusive and all-in-all a one and done for us.
Jason was great! He was very attentive and went the extra mile for us. I went with my 3 kids (10 and under) and had a great lunch! My youngest loved her pizza and ate it all. She sent her compliments to the chef lol. My oldest loved her ribs. She said they were so good. I had a free bird chicken sandwich and it was really good. Unfortunately, my son didn’t like his steak.
Great food and delicious drinks. We took a day trip down to Sarasota from Tampa and stopped by Mattison's for a bite to eat and we loved every bite. So good. And the service was amazing as well.
Great food and the service was top notch. Outside seating which is comfortable with the fans going. Starter dishes were plentiful for a share before a full meal. Wheelchair access was good, live music and a full bar. Will be back again and again.
No reservation needed we just walk from the hotel to the restaurant. Oh, the location was perfect. We sat outside with a live 90’s band. The cocktails were strong and quickly crafted. Nothing special, just basic bar drinks. My appetizer was interesting. It was a revised shrimp rangoon, a great idea. Each entrée of 5 was bad. To start I was born and raised in Louisiana GUMBO is a soup. Maybe the chef forgot to add the roux, or did you prepare the gumbo too early and the rice absorbed all the juice? My husband ordered the Med Rare lamb man it was as well as it gets, inedible. We ate two or three bits. Our server was kind. I wanted to like the chef’s skills, unfortunately it was lacking in many ways that night. I wish I would have not wasted my time here.
