The horseradish encrusted fish was out of this world. Buttery flavor, crispy and light. Paired with the rice and veggies was an awesome early dinner. Our group had also the ribs that were fall out the bone well seasoned. The burger was not our favorite. Hillary was our server and even when the food was taking longer than expected she made sure to check with us and keep us informed, not even having to ask for refills on our drinks. She was courteous and nice.
We just walked in and tried to give this restaurant business. We had 18 people, were willing to split up tables, sit inside or outside...whatever would work. They had plenty of space. I told the rude manager that we were trying to support local. She literally told us a chain would be better. She was making every excuse for us not to give her our business. We were not in a hurry and would’ve been fine with being patient with the service. My husband with brain cancer would have loved to sit on the water and enjoy a lunch outside. These people are rude. I always wish small businesses well but this one needs to learn the golden rule because if they treat all their patrons that way...I’m not sure how they can even be open. Thanks for being so rude and unwelcoming.
Food was not great but not terrible. The portion of rice I got with the fish was very small. When I was ordering my drink I asked my server "Is there happy hour for house wine?" and she said "Wells are $3.75" so I ordered a house chardonnay. I ended up having 2 glasses. Then when I got the check it was $11 for my 2 glasses. I asked the server "What was the happy hour for wine again?" Come to find out it was well liquor that is $3.75. I was a server and bartender for over 10 years and house and well mean the same thing. So when I asked "Is there happy hour for house wine?" she should have said "No but well liquor is $3.75." Her answer was very deceiving. And when I brought it up all I got was a "sorry." I always tip 20% or more but I only left $4 on $35 because there was no attempt to get the check adjusted. And who doesn't have happy hour for house wine? You can buy an entire bottle at the store for $3!
Great views sitting right on the river. Friendly professional staff. Very good menu choices. Prices are much better than most surrounding places on the water. Oysters on the half shell, daily fried fish all you can eat. Will definitely be going back here more often.
It's an old fashioned riverfront restaurant. We had great service. The lobster stuffed fish dinner was delicious with a price that made us smile. Its very clean. The view is lovely. We'll be back again and again.
