Impressive tiki hut makes for a fun atmosphere here. Barbecue is the house specialty. Had a combo platter which included half slab baby back ribs, half chicken and sliced pork plus two sides. Plenty of chow with this one for about $26. Pork and chicken were decent. Ribs had a nice dry rub seasoning but too tough for baby backs. First trip there and it's a big menu so consider that.
A local fave. This place came highly recommended to us to try. The food was yummy! My husband said the cornbread was best he's ever had and BBQ was delicious! Loved the atmosphere and music. However, we must have went on an off night. They were packed as expected, but the server couldn't hear us because of music, I guess, and we got a lot of incorrect food, my daughters hamburger was raw and other tables were complaining too. Manager did come up to us and apologize and said they were short staffed. We will definitely go back and try again! I was s server for a lot of years when I was younger so I get it! You can't always have a perfect night and please everyone! Food was good enough to give it another shot!
Had our CMA meeting there. Nice of the owner or manager to allow us to hold our meeting there. My wife and I had the brisket. She said hers was delicious. Mine was good but quite salty in spots. Also mine had quite a bit of fat on it. I was kind of disappointed to be honest. The other couple we sat with shared a rack of baby back ribs and said there's was quite good.
Cool atmosphere! Great corn bread. Unfortunately, we were not happy with the rest of our meals. The menu states the ribs "smothered and flashed baked in our signature spicy or regular BBQ sauce." The ribs were dry and we didn't taste any of the BBQ sauce that was "smothered". A small cup of BBQ sauce was given but it was far from being enough. An order of onion rings includes 5 small rings. This was brought to the waitress attention and she agreed it is a small order and she went back and got some more for us. We thought they were a bit soggy. We didn't care for the BBQ baked beans. The sweet potato fries were ok. The specialty drink rum runner was the worst I have ever had.
Fun place, outside seating, live entertainment and great BBQ. I got the combo, bbribs, pulled chicken, brisket and collard greens and baked beans. All was excellent except for the ribs. They were good, but not fall off the bone good. A bit tough. The corn bread is EXCELLENT. The best corn bread ever... no butter needed. Served hot! ... its a great place to meet friends or family as its all pretty much outdoors.
