Exactly what I was looking for. An authentic feeling Speakeasy! The bartenders dressed the part. The music, even the old black and white film reels on the wall. The bar feels cozy and established. The drinks were on point. The entire atmosphere was fun and lively. Can't wait to go back and take more friends. This was a great night cap location for a date night. Just GO!
This establishment was everything we were looking for and more. Wednesday night was awesome, group of locals playing jazz with the owner of the place singing, very entertaining. Quality ingredients, my drink was perfect. By far the best bar in town!
God-awful place. After waiting 10 minutes for service, the female bartender served me a "Godfather" made with Drambuie, insisting that was the recipe. It is not! (Google it; simple mix of scotch and Amaretto). She got snooty with me, telling me I was wrong (I am in my 60's and she in her 20's; I have been drinking it since before she was born!). After making a second one, which was likewise awful, I took the high road and left. Amazingly pathetic attitude, for someone so completely wrong and rude.
They make a great cocktail here! Outside seating available, 40s music playing, some live entertainment. Near downtown pizza. Always a favorite when visiting the riverfront district.
Great atmosphere and good drinks. The down side is that if the bar is busy, the service can be as slow as glacial melt. Just two bartenders making craft cocktails ONE at a time. Each of which can take several minutes to make. On my last visit I sat at the bar with a date for 10 minutes unable to get the attention of either bartender to even order a drink. Neither said they'd be right with us. When one looked right past me to take the order of 4 people who had just walked in, we gave up on being served and left.
