Trying not to be too harsh because the food industry is getting hit hard these days, but this is not where it's at. Let me explain...Went out for a special occasion, spent about $100 on 2 people and left not wanting to go back. Cool place, great staff but food was not good at all. Especially for the price. I just couldn't understand where they justified charging $8 for 1 (small) slice of pie and $15 for 3 pieces of chicken the size of an infants fist with a 3 inch, dry, bland waffle that gives Ego waffles justice. Looked forward to the chocolate cake but it was so dry. The catfish was good and had nice crunch but the greens and sauce were a flavor I have never tasted before, and not in a good way. I will say the mud pie, the sweet tea and the Georgia cocktail were on point though. Just felt like they tried to over do naturally good southern flavors by adding strange combinations of spices and weird little things to everything that just did not go well together.
Thoroughly enjoyed the Gospel Brunch experience. Food was phenomenal and Truality was the icing on the cake! Highly recommend a visit.
Love, love, love The Blue Rooster! Great hosts, great meatloaf and great place to see a live show. We saw one of our Favs (Paul Thorn) on Valentine's Day. Loads of fun!
Music was good, service was good, bloody mary was great, food was good except the gravy for the biscuits and gravy. The gravy tasted like nothing I have ever eaten(not in a good way). The place is touted as southern cooking, but I don't know any southerner who would serve gravy this bad. It had no sausage or sausage flavor anywhere. I told the waitress that they should remove that item from the menu, if that's what they are serving. Everything else was really good, but that was a disaster.
Amazing Music Go hear out on Wednesdays... their servers and managers are just the best tell Barbara I sent you
