I have mixed feelings about our dinner at Hemingway's. First off the staff was amazing!! The drinks we're great! And our waitress Taylor was really funny and kind! For the not so positive notes, the acoustics in the room we were in made it very hard to have a conversation. As the room became empty I could finally hear the person across from me without us screaming. The food was good but for the price point I expected a higher level of finese. I should also mention the restaurant was completely booked and that may have contributed to this a bit. It was an overall good evening so I am going to give them a 4 stars rating 🌟
Food and service has been great all the times I’ve been there, manager should get a raise, place is ran well…I got scallops over sweet potato grits and spinach, was great. The calamari is some of the best I’ve had honestly. My daughter had the salmon and it was cooked perfect. Good food, good atmosphere
Very good restaurant! Unique menu! Seafood, meatloaf, shrimp and ribs, and lobster bisque! Nice assortment to choose from! Nice atmosphere, too! They fit us in for a reservation when the other area restaurant couldn’t take us. It’s a big restaurant with lots of space!
I enjoy the food here when I'm in town for work. Got the pork chops and lobster bisque and both were delicious. We always sit at the bar and the gentleman that bartends is not very friendly. Gives off the vibe that he is irritated or just too busy to attend to us and/or interact with guest. We got a couple drinks too and I enjoy the espresso martini. We also got the calamari ap and it is yummy. I like the sweet chili sauce they drizzle on it.
Really great atmosphere, the patio is awesome with live music, and it was not too loud to be able to have dinner conversations. Our server Arizona was very attentive and great with a couple of suggestions for dinner. The calamari Calamari flash fried with sweet Thai chili and Wasabi mayo, and sweet and sour meatloaf with mashed potatoes, carrots, and green beans were excellent, and very surprised to say that I have now tried sweet and sour meatloaf which was surprisingly good on the pallet.
