We ate here last night as guests of our hosts. They eat here often and couldn’t wait to take us to the French Brassiere. Everyone had a wonderful meal here and we thought our waiter, Billy was very good. Excellent service. My risotto with smoked salmon, I had to try. I thought it an odd pairing. I must say it was the best risotto I have eaten. I highly recommend the French Brasserie
Had a great meal here. William was our server and he was on point. Made the whole meal comfortable for us. Oysters are clean and fresh, and old fashioned is very well balanced- definitely stop by during happy hour if possible. The escargot was good but I think the bread cap they put on top is too much. In my opinion the cap is too buttery and soft in the sense that the escargot ends up being a bit too oily instead of buttery. Next time I would toss the bread cap aside and eat it with the bread they give you when you first sit down. I had the porkchop and it was alright. Seasoned well but overcooked from medium. I would probably skip it next time. However, the steak my wife ordered came out perfect. It was seasoned well and the fries were nice and crisp. I would 100% order that for myself next time. Overall the food was good but, the service is what will make me come back. William showed us a great time throughout the meal and one of the main reasons my wife and I will be going back.
The service here was fantastic our waiter was very friendly and helpful. We ordered a couple of drinks and ordered the Fried Squash Blossoms as an appetizer, personally would liked them to be fried a bit more regardless they were delicious. We ordered the House Smoked Salmon Risotto and Rabbit Ravioli as entrees the Ravioli was one of the specials with tasted fantastic. I also loved their outside patio. Its a cute place to have dinner.
We took our time for dinner, starting with an espresso and leading into oysters (incredible deal at Happy Hour, and some of the best I’ve had). We picked a white wine from the happy hour menu, and were very happy with it. The melon salad was excellent, as well as the gazpacho! I loved the onion soup and my husband got the other dish, which I can’t remember the name of. We capped the meal off with a creek brûlée which did not disappoint! The staff were excellent and made the meal one to remember. Highly recommend trying this place, especially during Happy Hour or if you can spring for the dinner. It’s worth the price.
Gave it a try three different times and same every time. Fabulous atmosphere and if your a tourist walking by it is enticing. Great drinks. But...the service for dinner was terrible..Asked for butter three times. Water twice. Long period of time between waiter visits and it was always with an attitude. The food was underwhelming. My salmon was well done (twice) regardless of asking for it done rare twice. Partners pork chop was like leather. Both sent back twice (not picky people). Four dinners served at four different times with lag times so if you have manners and don't start until everyone is served your food would be cold which is very awkward. Then after all that they never offered dessert or coffee. At the least they should have comped dessert or coffee. Very disappointing. Don't understand as Tulia's who is their sister restaurant is superb start to finish every time. Never again !
