We came here on a Wednesday arrived at 2:00. Wasn’t really that busy but they did have a large 16 top. The ambiance of this restaurant is awesome! Such a cool tucked away spot that you would never find. The view is amazing!! For the server we had Jason. I would say a little on the slow side for service, but they did have that 16 top before us. We ordered an appetizer the twisted spicy shrimp. I loved the sauce shrimp was a little overdone but still a pretty good appetizer. I ordered the blackened grouper tacos. I was a bit let down because I felt it lacked flavor and the lettuce on there didn’t do it justice because it becomes soggy and wilted. A fresh slaw with a tropical salsa would have made these a game changer. My hubby got the blackened mahi tacos and he felt the same about his on them lacking flavor. Kids got the fried shrimp and fries which they loved. Ordered a side of onion rings and that was my favorite thing!! They were so crunchy wow! I would definitely like to come back and try something different on the menu. We didn’t get any bar drinks, however this seems like it’s more of a good spot for drinks and a quick “bar bite”. Ambiance 5 star all the way. Service 3 star. Food overall 3star. I feel I had higher expectations based on the pictures of the food. Still a beautiful spot to try! Oh also forgot to mention it’s a good spot if you’re a boater you can drive right up and dock !!
Always looking for good seafood with a water view. They got the view, the service, cocktails but the food is a no go. Husband ordered "lobster" salad rolls and honestly, must be canned lobster puree and a lot of mayonnaise. Really disappointed. Boom, boom shrimp, frozen deep fried small shrimp served on wilted lettuce. The sauce was pretty good, but I'm guessing it was bottled. So, if you're looking for cocktails, good service and nice view, you should consider going here. And then plan where to go for dinner.
We stopped for lunch. Not too busy. EXTREMELY SLOW service. We waited forever for the waitress who was very sweet and capable. We waited more to give our orders and longer still for our food. It was okay because we really liked the atmosphere and water view. So you might have to wait. Honestly, you pay for the experience and view. The food was good, but the price was very steep. And you're not gonna get full on their portions.
The smoked chicken wings were on point. Light smoke flavor with a variety of sauces. I went with an Old Bay rub, no sauce. Fantastic! The steamed gulf shrimp with drawn butter was fresh and sinfully good. As an added bonus, from order placement to table service was 15 minutes. Wow! I was impressed with the service and the quality of food and drink. Kudos to the Stump Pass folks. I shall return.
Stopped in and took full advantage of the docks while cruising around along the Intercoastal Waterway.. Had a short wait for a table and grabbed a cold beer from the bar. Ordered the gumbo soup and the French Dip. Food came out fresh and was tasty. When combined with the cold beer on a warm afternoon, made for a perfect meal. Views from the dock were spectacular! A must stop if in the area either by boat or land...
