Went for an early dinner. Felt like having fish and chips. Had a couple of drinks and they were good. The fish and chips were excellent. It was a big piece of fish and it was fried nicely. Also tried the shepherd’s pie. It was also excellent. We really enjoyed it. Definitely worth visiting here 👍
Always love this place. About an hr away from where we stay but worth the visit. It feels like a pub in the UK was transported to SW Florida. Love the fish but recently the chips have been changed. These chips are not as good as the past ones but we are in a time of difficulty in our supply chains. Hopefully they'll be able to get the chips they're famous for soon.
The Pub in Mercato is much more than the title might suggest. While their beer selection is extensive and well thought out, their food menu is excellent. Known for their Fish and Chips (advertised as best in the United States), there are other dishes on the menu worth trying. For starters, their Spinach and Artichoke Dip is great, and I would highly recommend trying the Pub Spring Rolls. Some of their sandwiches are made with pretzel bread, including "The Cure Sandwich," which is hearty and delicious. The service on my last visit was excellent, and all the food was served promptly and prepared as ordered. Update: The service and good remain great after many visits. I still recommend the same appetizers and would steer toward the fish & chips over the burgers or standard fare.
I've visited quite a few different times over the years and a very laid-back experience. They also have different events and even has DJ late evening Friday/Saturday. Participating in the trivia nights are fun too- good/funny facilitator. Call or checkout online if it's themed! It can get packed depending on time of year. Food is very filling (a lot in each serving). I do like the fish and chips as well as some of the appetizers. They do have a long list of drink offerings- beer, wine, spirits or cocktails.
We attended a wonderful Scotch tasting along with a Six course meal. We had such an amazing time, the food was yummy and the scotch tasting was informative and fun. Thank you Kim, Chris, Renee James, Jarlyn for the amazing food and wonderful time. Please do this again soon.
