This was my second time at Tsunami and they were my introduction to sushi. The server was really great at explaining the menu and pointed out items that met my needs. The Double J and Georgia rolls are great for first timers who aren’t ready to try raw seafood or anything spicy. Other people in my party had the Salmon Love and Nemo rolls and he loved them. It can get busy at night so a reservation is good. Also they have live music on busy nights like a violinist and a guitarist. Definitely will be back again and again!
The first time we visited this restaurant, we thought this would be our new sushi place. Our meals were outstanding, the ambiance was romantic, and the service was pretty good. We had talked about this sushi spot so much and brought our family for my husband’s birthday. Unfortunately, we had a totally different experience. I will say the visual presentation of our meals was lovely. However, our server was aggressively chewing gum the whole time and his demeanor did not match the refinement of the establishment. Our bill came to $200, but the taste of the food and the quality of service felt more in line with a restaurant of the caliber of a Perkins. (I’m not knocking Perkins. I worked at one when I was in college. But I wouldn’t pay $200 to eat there.) I had hoped for a really special and classy night for my husband’s birthday. We were all disappointed. Maybe they were having an off-night, but when guests are paying that much, the restaurant needs to make sure it is as consistent as possible.
Probably the most extensive sushi menu in town. Service with Christian and helper was excellent. Drinks were well done. First gin gimlet I have had in years. Seafood StirFry was awesome.
Great first experience here. Everything was excellent. Highly recommend the King Lobster roll and the Paradise roll. If you like Edamame, that’s a winner here too. If I’m in the area again, I’ll come back.
Shout out to Jason & Jeffrey for an amazing dining experience. Everything tasted was freshly made. Customer service was top notch. Would highly recommend all to try it.
